Well, after eleven years of marriage, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Kandi Burress, has finally had ENOUGH of Todd Tucker's antics, as she's chosen to file for divorce.
Now, if you've followed me over the years, and you've read how I feel about couples with this specific dynamic, then you know that I'm NOT AT ALL surprised by this news...
I mean, Aunt Bertha called it YEARS AGO! It was a SCHEME!

But were you surprised by this news?
Were you shocked to learn that after eleven years and two kids together, these two were calling it quits?
Did you think that Kandi and Todd would last forever...
Or did you simply hope against hope that they'd be the couple to make it...
To prove all of the doubters wrong?
Here's the thing:
Folks are blaming Kandi's mother, Mama Joyce, for the disintegration of Kandi and Todd's marriage...
But I think that's totally wrong.
Mama Joyce didn't end this marriage; she called it out from the BEGINNING!!!
See, Mama Joyce knows what most Black women do indeed know but they don't want to admit:
When you take up with a black male who has FAR LESS THAN YOU, he will always be JEALOUS AND SEE YOU AS HIS COMPETITON!!!
And Mama Joyce didn't want her to see her wealthy, successful, established daughter PLAY BUILD-A-MAN with some random man she met behind the scenes because she (Kandi) was READY TO GET MARRIED AND HAVE MORE KIDS!!!
The simple fact is that Todd saw Kandi as his OPPORTUNITY FOR A COME UP!
He saw Kandi as his MEAL TICKET out of his ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT in NYC and straight into the LAP OF LUXURY, paid in full by Kandi!
All he had to do was marry her; Kandi paid for the rest!
And the bottom line is that males RESENT WOMEN who give them the lives that they can't give themselves!
And NONE OF THAT is Mama Joyce's fault, folks.
And before someone decides to chime in with "BUT TODD WAS A PRODUCER AT BRAVO! HE DIDN'T NEED KANDI'S MONEY!!!"
