Journalist Gayle King recently stopped by the Call Her Daddy podcast.
And though she discussed many things during the episode, the nugget that caught everyone's attention was when host Alex Cooper asked Gayle to recount the moment she discovered her ex-husband, William Bumpus, was cheating on her.
AND GAYLE DID NOT HOLD BACK!
The only thing she didn't share was the mistress' real name...
Otherwise, Gayle gave us a proper play-by-play.
Now, before I get into what exactly was done, I think it's important to note that I do understand that Gayle is 71 years old.
She is an elder. She's the age of my beloved Aunties. And I wouldn't dare tell an elder how they should've handled a marriage situation during the time when I was a literal child.
I understand that times, circumstances, and opportunities for women have changed significantly over the past 40 years...
HOWEVER...
HUMAN EMOTION NEVER CHANGES.
What human beings feel does not change.
What human beings experience does not change.
So, with that being said, I think it's a pretty fair assessment to say that Gayle King should've NEVER MARRIED THAT MAN.
Gayle King's ex-husband did not love her.
GAYLE KING'S EX-HUSBAND DID NOT EVEN LIKE HER!!!
And I think that is such a tough pill for women to swallow...
When you know in your heart of hearts that the man you chose to marry...
The man you willingly chose to procreate with...
TRULY DESPISES YOU!
William Bumpus was JEALOUS, SPITEFUL, INTIMIDATED, & RESENTFUL of his wife!
William Bumpus felt that he had EVERY RIGHT to cheat on Gayle NUMEROUS TIMES!
William Bumpus, like the majority of so-called "IBMs" (ideal black males), truly felt that he was THE PRIZE!
And why would any Black woman "in her right mind" willingly walk away from THE PRIZE?!!???!!!
